The crowd was not as large as we wanted-yet a few citizens did come to voice their displeasure. The powers-that-be in Monona (“the man”) and the Monona Grove School Board should not rest easy as the 99% has awaken from our slumber.
Our city officials and school board members, past policies of supporting the 1% with free hand-outs, while we try and lower our water usage to win a money price is laughable. OccupyNicloas has put them all on notice-your time is drawing nigh.
Occupynichlas will remain vigilant.
WE WILL BE ASKING elected candidates:
- What about TIF?
- Why are businesses in this getting free money?
- Are you really progressive or do you just talk and write that way to get elected and then run and hide when the going gets tough?
- What are you going to do for me and my neighbosr to hold up land values besides sell our long-held trusted assets?
We will be back stronger and hardier.
